Valentino to Open Fashion Musuem

Meanwhile at the post-award dinner for La Comtesse Jaqueline de Ribe, Valentino announced plans to open a small fashion museum at his 17th-century Château de Wideville in the countryside near Paris. The museum is set to open in July (during the Paris Haute Couture week schedule) but details are "a surprise" said Valentino. Insiders say that the museum will function as a research lab where fashion students can inspect dresses and sketches from the Valentino archive. My one-way ticket to Paris is now booked!!

Highest French Award for Style Icon

La Comtesse Jacqueline de Ribes, French style icon and philanthropist has received the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. Fashion's elite including Valentino, Donna Karan and Marisa Berenson were amongst the 90 dinner guests at La Comtesse's 19th century French townhouse. In his speech her husband, Le Conte Edouard de Ribes, said his wife was still as willowy and arresting as 60 years ago when he first laid eyes on “a magnificent gazelle” across a crowded room.

Sexy for Fall 2010

Nobody conjures up jet-set glamour like Michael Kors. For Fall 2010 Mr Kors made subtle hues of camel and ivory sexy and produced a show of glamourous and easy-wear designs. Aussie model Abbey-Lee Kershaw sizzles it up on the runway - covet the suede boots. (P.S. yours truly is NOT a lover of real fur). [Photo: Marcio Madeira/FirstView.com]
